EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah ? An interactive gaming event at Rockwell Charter High School in Eagle Mountain encouraged parents and kids to play video games together.
This weekend?s event invited parents to get involved with playing video games with their kids to make a family-friendly competition.
A recent study by the Entertainment Software Association finds that parents are playing video games more often than ever; 49 percent of parents surveyed say they play games to spend time together with their children and 66 percent feel that playing video games has brought their families closer together.
Some family-friendly interactive games allow players to build mental and physical skills in a virtual world.
